ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting case managers, caregivers, and other staff so that dependent children's social and emotional well-being is met.

The items listed above are intended to provide an overview of the essential functions of the job. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions and responsibilities that the position may be required to provide.

  • Conduct research of low-income housing opportunities
  • Participate in CoC meetings and maintain knowledge of local housing resources
  • Provide expertise as ChildNet’s service coordination subject matter expert at various staffing's and community meetings
  • Identify qualified service providers for clients with private insurance or who reside out of county and out of state
  • Manage resource guide to reflect current service array
  • Facilitate service staffing's and provide guidance to ensure clients behavioral health needs are met
  • Participate as a subject matter expert to specialty courts as needed
  • Act as liaison between Supervisors, Staff, Agencies, and Community Partners, to verify accurate documentation and communicate relevant information.
  • Maintain current knowledge of issues, trends, and developments relevant to their area of expertise in child welfare practices to ensure compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements:

Years of Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience working with children in the Child Welfare system

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health field
