Location:  Layton, Utah

Job Highlights:

Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to creating personalized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to our mission of transforming lives.

Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse at White Dove Detox, you will play a critical role in our patient care team, providing medical and psychiatric nursing care to individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction and recovery processes. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering the highest standards of care and supporting patients through their recovery journey.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including physical and psychological needs.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct nursing care and support during detoxification and treatment processes.
  • Educate patients and their families about substance abuse, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in continuous education to stay updated on best practices in substance abuse treatment and nursing care.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah with no restrictions.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience, with a strong preference for experience in substance abuse, mental health, or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment and medication administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • BSL certification required.
  • Food handlers permit required
