About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and successful Sr. Program Scheduler (Civil Engineering/Rail Transit) who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of program schedules, the review and analysis of contractor schedules, and the oversight of third-party consulting firms' schedule management efforts, including development of what-if analyses and maintenance of schedules.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide schedule development, maintenance of schedule data and reporting.
  • Identify/develop/correlate program schedule activities with associated design plans.
  • Provide detail for schedule activities based on design plans to reflect the duration and the basis of the duration for construction of element activities. Update schedule data and durations as necessary and as design progresses to identify the basis for construction of element durations.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of schedule analysis and progress; provide periodic updates and documentation to Program/Project Controls.
  • Manage progress, schedule duration changes, and duration verification basis.
  • Provide schedule assumptions and general basis for schedule development. Identify key items which may not be included in structure schedules, such as utility relocations, environmental and or seasonal restrictions, or procurements.
  • Perform review and analysis of current in-progress schedules for correlation with future, planned construction schedules; current construction duration estimates vs. future planned construction duration estimates.
  • Perform review and analysis of schedules for reliability, risk identification, risk review, and risk assessments; provide recommendations for increased schedule reliability; and identify longest path and critical schedule items.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 7+ plus years' experience on large, complex construction projects.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of construction scheduling and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Program and project schedule development and management experience.
  • Working experience with TILOS to produce Time Chainage schedules.
  • Knowledge of structures, construction means, methods, staging, procurements, and disciplines. This includes rail and rail systems construction, rail and roadway tunnel construction, rail and roadway bridge construction, retaining wall systems and other systems and structures associated with the operation of a railway.
  • Experience developing detailed construction schedules from preliminary and/or conceptual plans.
  • Experience identifying and documenting associated schedule risks.
  • Experience providing recognizable and understandable work activities and sequences.
  • Proven experience meeting required deadlines and deliverable dates.
  • Proficiency with TILOS and P6 software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in scheduling.
  • Extensive experience in project controls.
  • Familiarity with rail and roadway transportation projects and disciplines.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $175-197k annually. Luster is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
