VitalSkin Dermatology is seeking a Director of Operations. They will oversee our Chicago market which currently comprise several dermatology practices (Bucktown, Lakeview, Millennium Park, Oak Park, Streeterville as well as Bourbonnais, Hinsdale, and St Charles).

You HAVE a Master’s degree in related field and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt. At minimum, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of physician office healthcare planning and management
  • Knowledge of the medical environment, physician group practice, managed care, physician compensation, healthcare contracting and regulations and financial and operating systems
  • Demonstrated track record of driving world-class organizational performance, high employee engagement, patient experience, revenue growth and physician engagement
  • Solid strategic thinker, with a strong operational focus, good judgment, and detail-oriented perspective

In a Senior Leadership Role, you will:

  • Contribute to organizational mission, vision and goal setting as well as the annual business planning process
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of the Organization’s key performance indicators/scorecard(s)
  • Participate in daily team huddles, weekly tactical meetings, and monthly strategic meetings
  • Lead by example by adhering to the Organization’s core values

As Director of Operations, you will:

  • Oversee all aspect of the Organization’s Operations Department
  • Develop and implement Operational systems/policy development including but not limited to customer service, patient access, operational expenditures, and revenue cycle management at the practice level; obtain top quartile performance in satisfaction and collections
  • Responsible for maintaining positive relationships between practices and the support office
  • Responsible for maintaining positive relationships between and with physician partners including identifying and responsively addressing issues and concerns
  • Facilitate regular and consistent system communication with practice team members including coaching and leadership development
  • Oversee the direction and execution of operational and performance plans for Practices through Practice Managers including monitoring of operating and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of monthly statistical reporting of key performance indicators and develop and implement solutions to address opportunities
  • Ensure Practice compliance with regulations and standards including HIPAA compliance
  • Help CFO in development of practice strategic plans and annual operating budgets
  • Select, hire, and oversee the performance of all Operations team members including, but not limited to practice or regional managers

As part of Practice Affiliation/Integration Management, you will:

  • Co-lead in the development and execution of due diligence review protocols to identify and analyze potential acquisition
  • Co-Lead in the development and execution of integration management protocols for acquired practices
  • Oversee the assimilation and integration of practice affiliates.
  • Continually look for opportunities to grow existing service and products and expand to new services and products
