NHK Seating of America, Inc. is owned by NHK Spring of Japan. The Frankfort plant supports an Automotive company in Lafayette. We supply the seats in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time environment. A finished seat can come off our line about every minute. The work is very repetitive and physically demanding. Our production requirements are directly linked to our customer, as customer demand increases and decreases on a daily basis so does NHK Seat production requirements.

Position: 2nd Shift Materials Receiving Group Lead

Pay Wage: $24.93 /hour (wages shown already INCLUDES $1.00 shift premium)

Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday plus some mandatory Saturdays

4:30PM - completion (up to 12 hours)

*Must have flexible schedule. Daily overtime may be required.

Requirements and Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform any shop floor Materials function
  • Communicate any problems to the Materials Technician
  • Cut Shippers and B.O.L. for the completed orders, returns, etc…
  • Assist Technician in directing work flow / activity of materials associates
  • Know how to look up Inventory Balances by location in system and know where to look for inventory
  • Assist associates where necessary
  • Ability to perform / fill in for an associate when absent
  • Before leaving, ensure associates daily tasks are completed. IE: Area’s stocked, work area is clean, any pre-staging for the next shift is completed, etc…
  • Coordinate trailer movements with drivers and keep trailer board up to date
  • Ability to organize, file and distribute all floor-oriented paperwork
  • Must know how to perform Receiving verification process.
  • Must be willing to cover other Lead/Supervisor functions to allow coverage for absences.
  • Expect excellent attendance
  • Must be willing to work overtime with little to no notice
  • Have to be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have experience or be willing to learn AS/400 & Infor system
  • Must have experience or be willing to learn Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Responsible for shift meeting if Technician is absent.
  • Investigate parts shortages
  • All other duties as assigned.
