As the Outlet Supervisor, you set the tone for the guests’ experience during each and every shift and you know that your team’s energy directly impacts everyone who walks through the front door. You have proven that you know what it takes to lead your team to ensure a smooth sailing ship.


Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Delegate coffee and bar tasks to staff
  • Work with Operations Assistant for product needs, ordering, and scheduling.
  • IRO restaurant and kitchen day-to-day operation including menu updates, cleaning schedule, and vendor deliveries
  • Train new employees on Indigo Road Policies and Standards and basic knowledge of the second floor (how a normal day operates, where to find items, correct plating for items, etc.)
  • Send daily "stand up" texts to the barista, and server to communicate events for the day. Conduct daily line ups at least 30 minutes prior to beginning of service; Prepare the team for service by briefing reservations for the evening, menu specials, limited or 86’d menu items. Also use this time to motivate and inspire the team
  • Maintain the operation to a high standard including cleanliness, organization, restocking, etc.
  • Provide coverage in the case of a call out or short staffing
  • Provide support for IRO FOH/BOH
  • Work with Front Desk regarding guest issues, complaints, opportunities for improvement
  • Always strive for guest/employee satisfaction
  • Help maintain punctuality/communicate opportunities for counseling with Executive Chef/Director of F&B
  • Play the role of Manager on Duty
  • Ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience dining with us.
  • Deals and reports guest’s comments and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Oversee and support staff during service to ensure all standards are met
  • Maintain restaurant ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service.
  • Collecting all cash payments, cashing out drawers and closing batch at the end of the shift.
Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 1+ year experience in restaurant management.
  • Background in service/front of house preferred.
  • Able to manage a wide variety of people in a very faced paced setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing and walking
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
  • Constant receiving detailed information through oral and written communication
  • Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
  • Constant computer/POS Register
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around the store
