Human Resources (HR) Specialist

Position Summary: The HR Specialist is responsible for managing various HR functions to support the organization's workforce and ensure a positive employee experience. This role encompasses overseeing recruitment and onboarding, addressing employee relations, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting interviews. Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits. Mediate conflicts and support performance management processes, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs such as health insurance and retirement plans. Assist employees with benefits-related questions and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, and prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and support training and development programs. Identify training needs and assist in developing training materials.
  • Administrative Support: Manage HR-related administrative tasks and support HR management with special projects. Ensure office operations comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in HR roles, such as HR Specialist, HR Coordinator, or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using BambooHR
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
