Job Description:
As a Transportation Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying prospects, understanding their transportation needs, and presenting tailored solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting and cold calling to generate leads and set up meetings with potential clients.
- Conducting thorough needs assessments to understand clients' transportation requirements.
- Developing and presenting proposals that address clients' needs and showcase the value of our services.
- Negotiating contracts and terms of agreements to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including warehouse operations and logistics, to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of services.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of market trends, competitors, and industry regulations to inform sales strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of success in transportation sales or a similar B2B role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of transportation industry dynamics, including freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients at all levels.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
