Job DescriptionJob Description

BMW of Bridgeport is looking for someone to assist our New and Pre-owned Sales Managers with inventory management. The Inventory Manager position handles all facets of vehicle inventory management within the Sales department and is also the main liaison between the sales and service department for inventory vehicles. The Inventory Manager position ensures that all vehicles are stocked in, accounted for and audits the inventory on a monthly basis. To excel in this role you must be process oriented, have high work ethic, multi-tasking skills, great attention to detail, great time management skills, are team oriented and task driven.

Knowledge of BMW and other dealer systems such as VAuto, Dealertrack, Rapid Recon and Keytrack are a plus but not required.  

 

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Checking in and inspecting all new vehicle inventory upon their arrival to the dealership from transport
  • Stocking in all new and pre-owned vehicles into our Dealer Management System
  • Creating stock-in folders, key tags and stock tags
  • Entering keys into our key tracking systme
  • Enrolling Pre-Owned BMWs into BMW's Pre-Owned Inventory system and enrolling certain vehicles into BMW's CPO Program
  • Cleansing Pre-Owned Inventory systems weekly so prices are accurately displayed.
  • Utilize Rapid Recon System to assist with processing pre-owned vehicles through reconditioning process
  • Coordinate some Pre-Owned transportation arrangements through Central Dispatch system
  • Prepping all Paperwork for all Internal Service Repair Orders for the Sales Department
  • Inventory Management - (Inventory Audits + Vehicle Book/key Library)
  • Manage wheel lock inventory used on inventory on hand
  • Weekly New Vehicle Photo audit to make sure all New Vehicles have been photographed.
  • Dealer Trade Liaison - Handle all paperwork and prepping of vehicles for Dealer Trade
  • Off-Lease Acquisition management - Prepares and present off-lease acquisition opportunities to Used Car Department
  • Lease End Servicing Management
  • Lease to Retail Purchase Paperwork
