The Hardware/Software Endpoint Support Specialist is tasked with the critical role of ensuring the proper functioning and security of end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. This position involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software systems to support DoD operations. The specialist ensures that these devices comply with DoD cybersecurity standards, implementing and managing security measures such as antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption. They provide technical support to users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Part of the role also includes performing regular system updates, patches, and backups. The Endpoint Support Specialist collaborates with IT teams to optimize system performance and resolve complex technical problems. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of users are essential. The specialist must keep up-to-date with the latest technology and security trends to effectively address the evolving challenges in a secure DoD environment.

Requires Security Clearance: TS/SCI position. Personnel must possess a final DoD-granted TS with SCI eligibility.

Education: High School diploma/GED

Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of specialized experience and knowledge of hardware, software, information assurance, or business analytical support. Experience must include at least two of the following areas: technical and user documentation, end-user training, network support, information assurance or general administrative support.
  • Must possess good interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills.
