Job Overview

Join our dynamic team for a summer internship opportunity at Rubies Costumes. We're seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are passionate about the Halloween industry to join us in various departments including Product Development, Licensing, Design, Sourcing, and Sales. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to the exciting world of costumes and merchandise across all your favorite celebrations

Job Responsibilities

  • Learn the entire Licensing process from product concept to development and manufacturing.
  • Support product development partnerships by creating design briefs for new products, learning PLM (product development tracking system), scheduling and attending photoshoots, and requesting samples.
  • Craft PowerPoint presentations for customer meetings, licensor submissions, and sales narratives.
  • Track dates and milestones in Microsoft Excel for key projects, including customer meetings.
  • Assist in laying out, organizing, and shipping products for meetings.
  • Photograph, catalog, and ship samples to licensors.
  • Conduct research (web-based and data-driven) and analyze data to identify growth opportunities.

Job Competencies

  • Must be currently enrolled in College or University.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exhibit adaptability in navigating changing demands/responsibilities that may arise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Have a passion for the Halloween industry and pop-culture.
  • Must be able to commute to our office and work on-site.
