Our client is a well-known, highly sought after commercial construction general contractor in the Louisville, KY area.  The position they are seeking to fill immediately, is a Traveling Concrete Worker, who will mainly assist in the installation of concrete foundations, concrete pedestals, and piping associated with tank projects.

As a Steel Construction Field Employee - Mechanic, you'll play a pivotal role in assembling and welding various tank parts and components. Your responsibilities encompass blueprint interpretation, welding tasks in diverse positions, assisting in fitting large steel components into tanks, and upholding stringent quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diligently read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Execute welding tasks for a variety of sub-assemblies in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
- Offer assistance in fitting large steel components into tanks, often working from elevated platforms and scaffolding.
- Perform fit-up and welding tasks for all tank parts and components.
- Maintain exemplary standards of housekeeping in the work environment. Competencies

- Capability to pass practical tests assessing welding proficiency in accordance with ASME code standards.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and working at considerable heights.
- Willingness to travel, potentially encompassing up to 90-95% of the year. Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in diverse indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to various weather conditions and hazardous materials.
- Ability to work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts and within noisy environments.
