WE ARE GATEWAY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities.

Job Summary: Under general direction of the CFO evaluates, plans and supervises registration, financial counseling and cashiering services consistent with hospital operation goals and objectives.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure: None required

Experience: Two to three years progressively more responsible experience in an acute care facility providing patient accounting services and/or registration services, which included two years in a supervisory role.

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Associate degree preferred, but 4-5 years' work experience.


Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of process utilized in the admission, processing and discharge of hospital clients, regulatory and public assistance requirements and accounting principles utilized in debit/credit management, as well as legislation impacting same.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of management theory and practice to effectively lead unit associates.
  • Requires strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to integrate client process to service providers and optimize client payment receipts for same.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.
