Job Summary
We are looking for an Intermediate Systems Administrator to assist in the development and maintenance of network communications, as well as the installation, configuration, and upkeep of operating system workstations and servers. This role requires expertise in LAN/WAN systems, software installations, and system performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of network communications.
- Use knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to support internal and external networks.
- Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
- Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Support media management through internal methods and procedures of through offsite storage and retrieval procedures. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation,
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ Years of relevant experience is required.
- An active secret security clearance is required.
- Candidate must possess one of the following certifications: MCSA, MCSE, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Linux+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Must possess a CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
