Under minimum supervision, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for handing the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Compliance programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently with a limited degree of direct oversight.
  • Responsible to develop (personally or through contractors) permit applications, renewals, standard exemptions and/or amendments for various air, water or solid waste system changes as necessary
  • Will assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, programs, processes, systems, training, and tools related to environmental compliance.
  • Responsible to stay current with regulations and reporting requirements for both Texas and Federal for air, water and solid waste
  • Will be required to travel to all HEP field locations as needed to provide compliance support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and “people” skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years' experience working within the environmental and compliance field, preferably with an oil and gas company, midstream, refining/chemical plant, or environmental consulting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

Certifications:

  • N/A

Travel:

Travel required locally or long-distance up to 40% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
