Job DescriptionJob Description

The purpose of the role of the Foreman is to ensure the delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget. Working directly with project management, the Foreman will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives. This role requires the wearing and use of tool bags as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Experience of the construction industry, specifically within a general construction environment
  • Proven history with delivery of large sized schemes or supervisory experience of work on multiple schemes at any one time
  • Proven people management skills including the management of subcontractors
  • Practical firsthand approach
  • Carpentry skills – rough and finish
  • Excellent people skills with proven leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification
  • Previous experience of private or public commercial construction
  • Forklift trained
  • First aid qualification
  • Must have physical strength and manual dexterity, including hand/eye coordination, to manage all materials and tasks as required per job
  • 5+ years carpentry experience required
  • Current driver's license
