Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to work at one of our facilities. The Production supervisor reports to the Production Manager and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role you will be responsible for:
- Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of product
- Serving as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods, normally to a maximum of 15 employees
- Communicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicable
- Interpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
- Any other job duties as assigned by the Production Manager
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
- Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Have manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience
- Demonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processes
- Have excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
- Have prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others
- Possess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
- SAP Knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
- Proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or sign language
- Manufacturing Program Planning and Coordination
- UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge
- Have worked in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience with Inventory Control
- Experience with Change Management
