Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and execution of engineering projects, manage budgets and timelines, and supervise engineering teams. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Utility Integration, EDP development, permit submission, and CRP production across multiple projects
  • Manage tasks related to Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility company requirements
  • Oversee project-based budgets, monitor financials, to prevent overruns
  • Create and submit change orders, to customer, as needed, assessing impacts and communicating with stakeholders
  • Maintain up-to-date project information and provide updates to customers
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings, set task goals, and mentor team members
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments and manage client expectations and relationships
  • Contribute to long-term technical strategy and identify process improvements
  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience with project management and urban design
  • 5-8 years of experience working in Construction, EV, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software including Autodesk
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Office (Excel, Word, Email)
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Solid understanding of engineering best practices and industry standards
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating engineering teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends
