OVERVIEW

Palm Aire Country Club is nestled within the Palm Aire Community sitting on the Manatee/Sarasota county line in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. We are a privately-owned equity Country Club with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where members consider themselves part of the Palm Aire Family.

Central to our club are our two beautiful and challenging 18-hole championship golf courses. The Champions Course, designed by renowned architect Dick Wilson and The Lakes Course designed by famed architect, Joe Lee. The Champions course tee-to-green renovation was recently completed with a new short game area.

Our superior Country Club is one of the largest in the greater Sarasota area. Located just minutes from downtown Sarasota, the regions beautiful gulf beaches and virtually adjacent to the Mall at University Town Center, Palm Aire Country Club provides a perfect location for living the good life.

We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for a full-time Head Golf Professional. We are searching for an individual who will thrive in a can-do environment, who is energetic and passionate about taking us to the next level.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As Head Golf Professional you will be responsible for the overall management of the golf operation while working cooperatively with other departments. This key role will be responsible for promoting the game of golf through sound operational structure and programming that provides a "first-class" environment for Members and guests. This entails promoting and directing all golf activities through daily management and operational responsibilities of member relations/interactions, golf cart staging, practice areas, tee times, course play, tournaments and event planning, lessons & clinics, merchandising/golf shop displays, inventories and employee training.


You will need to have a strong and highly visible presence and should excel at effectively communicating expectations to a diverse staff and positively motivate to understand and execute to those expectations to ensure seamless service to our member-centric operation. This is a hands-on position that will ensure the highest standards of service, sanitation, safety and comfort. In this role you will manage department personnel, plan and schedule work activities and provide appropriate leadership and guidance in accordance with company culture and policies.

This position will help in the development, maintenance and dissemination of a management philosophy to guide all golf service personnel toward optimal operating results, employee morale and member satisfaction.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in LPGA/PGA Golf Management or equivalent experience.

· Active membership in the LPGA/PGA of America or equivalent, Class A membership.

· Proven history of team management, organizational and coaching skills.

· Fully knowledgeable of industry golf operations standards, concepts, practices and procedures.

· Comprehensive knowledge of expense control related to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses.

· Team player able to foster relationships with members, employees and guests.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with ClubEssential and Golf Genius Tournament Software a plus.

· Quality written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.

· Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

· Experience and familiarity in golf-shop merchandise and sales.
