Adult & Child Health is an integrated healthcare provider in Central Indiana. About this role: Registrar helps to support our mission and teams so we can work in the most efficient and effective way for our clients. You will work out of out of our 8404 Siear Terrace clinic. Our Registrar's will provide a range of administrative support in a clinic setting while providing a welcoming atmosphere for our clients.


The Location and hours: A&C is based in Central Indiana. This position is located within our 8404 Siear Terrace clinic and in office setting no remote work available . Hours are Monday- Friday.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Must possess exemplary customer service skills, as this staff member will be the first significant point of contact for clients. They must be hospitable, welcoming, inclusive, professional, and capable of answering questions while gently guiding clients through the initial stages of becoming a client. Additionally, they should offer empathy, support, and encouragement to new clients who may be hesitant about obtaining services or to clients who are court-ordered to attend.
  • Have an understanding of Legal guardianship, DCS and foster care situations, step-parents, custody arrangements, court documents, adoption, power of attorney, and temporary guardians/family/friends without contact with the legal guardian.
  • Prior experience with insurance verification (Medicaid Portal and Availity) and understanding of the differences between Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance is preferred; staff will utilize insurance websites to verify coverage and/or call insurance companies if an electronic verification is not available.
  • Prior experience with registering clients in a system for mental health services would be preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or relevant experience
