Duty Schedule:

8-5pm Monday to Fridays, occasional travel and hours after hours.

Summary/Objective of Position:

Assists the Office of Chief of Staff and Office of the President with developing stewardship strategies for first-time donors. Works with key colleagues to manage all data elements to ensure data is collected and shared. Assists to develop strategies focused on College mission that will build a culture of philanthropy for the College. Create and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan for annual giving, including mail, e-strategies and donor solicitations.

90% -Assists with developing stewardship strategies for first-time donors. Works with key colleagues to manage all data elements to ensure data is collected and shared. Assists to develop strategies focused on College mission that will build a culture of philanthropy for the College. Create and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan for annual giving, including mail, e-strategies, and donor solicitations.

-Develop and execute segmentation strategies; analyze results to determine modification or creation of future strategies. Develop a written master plan and calendar for all phases of annual giving. Conduct regular and year end assessments of the Annual Fund and performance. Design, coordinate and implement donor acquisition, upgrade and renewal strategies for annual giving programs.

-Collaborate with advancement services team to monitor and evaluate program results, obtain market research and other data to identify new strategic opportunities. Establish and maintain moderate- to-high-level of collaboration with both internal department partners and moderate level of collaboration with broader College partners to identify and integrate resources in order to accomplish fundraising goals and objectives.

-Through Jenzabar and other internal software, develop a pool of prospects for individual cultivation and solicitation from this constituency. Assist in leading the strategy, development and execution of digital campaigns such as #GivingTuesday, Giving Days, and digital challenges.

-Work with colleagues and teams to ensure a collaborative and successful digital fundraising effort. Research, test and explore emerging fundraising technologies and make recommendations for the annual giving program. Recommends changes and improvements to processes, objectives, and goals based on evaluation of completed programs to dramatically increase engagement and participation and maximize and ensure most effective and efficient use of resources.

10% -Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience


Minimum:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or closely related field and experience in working with donors and special event planning digital marketing and management experience.

Preferred:

In addition to the minimum requirements, 3-5 years in higher education donor solicitation, special event planning, digital marketing and management experience.

Knowledge:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in policy analysis Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Communications and Media - Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.

Skills:

Successfully completing projects efficiently and on time; strong problem solving and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel and ability to learn other software that may be applicable. Oral fluency in Navajo is highly desirable, but not mandatory. Proficient in writing and creating written analysis of legislative and policy statements.

Abilities:

Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative and maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to work on a team, conduct collaborative research, and deal effectively and courteously with supervisor, peers, and external stakeholders. Familiar with and interested in working with key fundraising shareholders and potential donors. Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research in a team environment or individually. Ability to operate flexibly and consistently. Detail oriented in coordinating activities.
Ability to solicit funds through collaboration and other initiatives.

Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel:

Work is performed in an office setting; to include but not limited to the use of a personal computer, enter, retrieve, and analyze data; ability to attend and participate in meetings and trainings. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to internal and external customers via multimedia. Ability to maintain confidentially, ability to travel and use of a College's vehicle is required.

Other Requirement(s):

Must have and maintain a valid state issued driver's license and successfully pass a background check. Other licensing may be required depending on position and/or area of assignment.
