Minuteman is seeking an Installation Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment and systems. The candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to work independently or as part of a team.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform installations as required
  • Perform system removals as needed
  • Test operation of system to confirm compliance to original scope of work, 100% functionality and customer’s satisfaction
  • Engage with Operations Manager or Project Managers with service job status and small project issues
  • Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, avoid damage to property, track truck stock materials to prevent loss, and clean up debris and work areas
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Overnight stay and travel while performing service duties at remote job locations and job training when required

Minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Possess a valid state issued drivers license
  • 1 -2 years direct industry experience
  • Basic understanding of installation methods, troubleshooting methods, best practices, and procedures
  • Basic understanding of field test equipment and special tools i.e. multimeter, cable tester, fiber kit, etc.
  • Basic understanding of electronic security technology and system design
  • Ability to use basic office software such as Connectwise, Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft Word®, and Microsoft Outlook®.
  • Professional and courteous in demeanor with customers
  • Ability to work independently or with a field crew
  • Ability to safely work at heights on ladders and aerial lifts
  • Attention to safety best practices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
