Data Analyst

Full time. Remote.

SamCart is looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our team. Our Business Operations team is expanding and needs the support of an analytic and process-oriented operations individual. We need someone to help launch tools and bring insights to our reporting in order to empower leaders across the company with access to data and analysis.

The Business Operations team is responsible for supporting teams across all three product lines at SamCart, including the core SamCart team, CreatorU, and Typeset. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of operations, analytics, finance, product, sales and more. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and solve complex business problems.

This position requires a driven self-starter who is able to communicate clearly and effectively with leadership and successfully juggle multiple priorities. You take tasks from start to finish, are able to deliver value quickly, and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Build and maintain the data analytics infrastructure for accurate and timely reporting and sophisticated analysis
  • Keep a pulse on performance metrics and KPIs. You will be positioned to have a view of the business, product, and customer base and encouraged to understand and explain trends.
  • Foster a data-driven, test-and-learn culture with your passion for telling stories with data - not only surfacing insights but also presenting those insights and recommendations to encourage and inspire change.
  • Partner with other data analysts, as well as team members from Customer Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product, etc. to push through cross-functional data projects

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within a startup environment
  • Training or education in the fields of Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential, knowledge of Python or R is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with modern data analytics stack (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Looker) is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
