Job Summary
The IT Service Desk Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for troubleshooting and resolving IT technical issues. This position interacts with internal TFS employees to restore IT productivity, troubleshoot technology related issues, and configuring hardware. The IT Service Desk Specialist documents computer and system related incidents and troubleshoots solutions as appropriate. This is an hourly position and will report to the Manager, Infrastructure.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve technical issues
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
- Complete the set-up equipment for employee use, performing and ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and/or appropriate software.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment
- Follow up with internal customers to ensure satisfactory service
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:Job Requirements:
· Two years experience working on an IT Service Desk or in a similar customer service role
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· A+ Certification and/or Microsoft Technology Associate certification preferred
· Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience trouble shooting hardware and software
· The ability to break down technical processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
· Patient, friendly demeanor with an aptitude for listening
