Identifying and addressing complex repair issues, guiding fellow technicians on diagnostic methods, conducting external repair inspections, and optimizing repair schedules for workshop efficiency.
Requirements:

$35 - $40 hourly
Responsibilities:- As a Lead Heavy Truck Mechanic in Huntsville, TX, US, your responsibilities include maintaining expert knowledge and proficiency in various in-vehicle components and systems.
- You will be tasked with conducting line maintenance welding and fabrication, ensuring all repair work is carried out safely, efficiently, and promptly.
- Inspecting repairs by third-party vendors to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations will be part of your duties.
- You will need to provide guidance to technicians, conduct diagnostic assessments on complex issues using electronic tools, and complete relevant training programs.
- When necessary, you will take on Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities and serve as a mentor to technicians, as well as carry out additional job-related tasks as needed.
- Ability to independently inspect and repair heavy truck automotive systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, and diesel emissions.
- Experience in complying with OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, and fire protection regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous supervisory or lead technician experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are advantageous but not obligatory.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
