Job Title: Program Director- Psychiatry

Department: Clinical

Classification: .4 FTE (this can be stand alone or combined with a .6 commission based provider role)

Reports to: VP of Clinical Services


Summary: The Director of Psychiatry is responsible for continued development of the psychiatry department, management of psychiatry staff (clinical and administrative assistants), liaison for independent contractors and director to employees. This role is interactive with internal and external stakeholders to provide high quality medication management services to our clients. This role is also responsible for ensuring the department's alignment with LynLake’s values, mission and goals.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and leadership to psychiatrists and psychiatric assistants ensuring the delivery of evidence-based care.
  • Leads weekly meetings for psychiatry assistants; manage and lead ways to improve the client experience and workflows within the department.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols, including clinical audits and outcome measurement, to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and compliance with standards of care and implement policies to resolve issues and prevent future ones.
  • Manage the budget for the psychiatry department and adhere to fiscally responsible practices.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the psychiatry department, aligning services with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of new psychiatric programs and services, staying abreast of best practices and emerging treatments.
  • Engage with the community, mental health organizations, and partners to promote mental health organizations, and partners to promote mental health awareness and expand service reach.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulation, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines in all aspects of mental health care services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed (NP, MD, CNP) by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine and must be a graduate of accredited institution.
  • Board certification in psychiatry is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of psychiatry, with at least 2 years of leadership experience required
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
  • Leadership or healthcare management certifications.
