Laborer


Job Type: Full-Time; Teamsters Union Position

Salary: $29.16/Hour

Department: Public Works Department

Location: 4975 DeMoss Road

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Public Works Department as a Laborer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various tasks related to public infrastructure and maintenance projects. This is a hands-on position that requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to contributing to the overall well-being of our community.


General Duties:

  • Perform general labor duties to support public works projects, including but not limited to road maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep.
  • Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure, such as roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools, as well as small construction equipment.
  • Participate in seasonal activities, including snow removal, leaf collection, and other weather-related tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform routine inspections and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support community events and projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must have general experience in driving standard shift vehicles and knowledge of
  • general outdoor work
  • Must hold a valid Class A, PA Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement, or willing to obtain one within a nine (9) month period.
