Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking an IT Facilities Helpdesk Support Specialist (Staff Associate) to support our PEO IWS client. Job location is Washington, DC, Navy Yard. There is the potential for some hybrid working schedule between home, corporate and client site.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Tier I & II end user IT support to NAVSEA personnel for classified and unclassified desktop, laptop, wireless, and mobile device services,
  • Analyze, escalate, resolve, and track customer requests for support using the help desk ticketing system,
  • Provide basic technical and functional support of all applications, hardware, and software, including password resets, and basic network diagnostics,
  • Assist with issuing gathering end user IT hardware for personnel,
  • Provide client site facility, seating and Navy Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) account management support,
  • Monitor assigned tenant spaces for maintenance/safety/sanitary issues and coordinate resolution with host command,
  • Manage seat assignments for military, government and on-site contractor personnel to include maintenance of command seating plans,
  • Initiate and track through completion move, add, and change (MAC) requests,
  • Coordinate ordering, delivery and placement of office furniture and final disposition of surplus furniture, and
  • Monitor budgets for procurement actions.

Success for working in this position requires:

  • 5-15 years of progressively responsible Navy or DOD facility support,
  • IT helpdesk experience in a Navy or DOD environment required,
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), to include the ability to create spreadsheets, presentations, and prepare specialized reports,
  • Knowledge of DoD processes and organizations,
  • NAVSEA MAC/SAAR experience desired,
  • Experience with DoD/DoN facility management and NMCI seat management desired,
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments,
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels, as a team member,
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information,
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments,
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, and
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • HS diploma.
  • BA/BS is desirable.
