At LTYC, we are committed to nurturing the potential of every young person who walks through our doors. As a Summer Performing Art Instructor, your role will involve inspiring and empowering the leaders of tomorrow through mentorship, guidance, and engaging educational programs.


Come make a difference in the lives of our future leaders with us. With competitive hourly rates ranging from $22 to $35, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of youth by fostering growth, resilience, and success in a dynamic and supportive environment.


Join us this summer as a Summer Performing Art Instructor and help shape the leaders of tomorrow. Positions are available for in-school and after-school part-time instructors with hourly rates between $22 and $35.

Compensation:

$22 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute creative lesson plans tailored to engage students and align with educational standards
  • Establish a secure and encouraging learning environment that prioritizes the well-being and success of students
  • Implement effective strategies for classroom management to cultivate a positive and efficient learning atmosphere
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to design a cohesive and enriching educational journey for students
  • Maintain precise records of student development and engage in clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and progress
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Proficient in GSuite and must have the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Must have flexibility in schedule, including availability for weekends and evenings
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable personal vehicle is a must

Since its inception in 2004, LTYC has continuously expanded its programming, geographic outreach, and calendar, expanding stronger relationships among schools, students, families, and the community.


LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
