Seeking a Heavy Equipment/Crane Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ft. Myers, FL.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k  

Pay is between $32 - $42 per hour (based on experience)

As a Heavy Equipment/Crane Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our extensive fleet of marine commercial construction equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment, with a focus on cranes and other specialized machinery.
  • Conducting regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and address mechanical issues promptly.
  • Documenting all maintenance and repair activities accurately, including parts orders and service records.
  • Collaborating with management to prioritize and schedule equipment services and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to diagnose complex mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferably with specific experience in crane maintenance.
  • Proficiency in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with management and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification or training in heavy equipment maintenance and repair is preferred.
