Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSoftware Upgrade SpecialistExpert Technical Solutions has an immediate, HYBRID (3 days a week onsite: Tuesday – Thursday) opening for a Software Upgrade Specialist for one of our premier clients based out of Henderson, NV (89074). This person will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience while implementing upgrades on our client’s software products.This is a permanent position offering competitive salary and excellent benefits.The schedule for this role will be: Tuesday – Saturday, with Sunday and Monday offResponsibilities:
  • Fulfill all aspects of upgrading a customer’s oncology information system (OIS), including: determining if a customer site is ready for an upgrade, planning for the upgrade, implementing new OIS software and testing after upgrade to ensure full functionality.
  • Analyze and define the process, assets and steps necessary to complete a successful upgrade.
  • Answer questions, provide expertise and keep the customer informed throughout the upgrade process.
  • Exceedingly document all upgrade steps following our client’s quality, regulatory and safety policies.
  • Ensure highly satisfied customers by taking responsibility for the successful completion of the OIS upgrade.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 3+ years’ experience working within the Healthcare industry required
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems (certification preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (certification preferred)
  • Experience with high-availability system architecture
  • Demonstrated experience with Citrix and related infrastructure and administration
  • Familiarity/proficiency with the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, WebEx, and SalesForce
  • Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers (via phone and face-to-face)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated capability for decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness
  • Weekend work will be required (eg:Tuesday - Saturday).
