In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications.

Step kitting is a fast paced, manual operation working within a team environment. As a Step Kitter, you will be responsible for palletizing custom fabricated sheet metal components into a ready to ship, kit form. Every employee is responsible for quality control; you help us make the best products in the industry.

Essential Functions of a Steel Stair Packing/Kitting:

  • Understanding on packing/kitting new step kits
  • Identify different size skids
  • Basic understanding of banders
  • Basic knowledge of how to make liner track
  • Will learn to identify a bad part (bad clinch, no Z brace, bad bend, dents, etc.)
  • Understanding of process and flow
  • Basic understanding of company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOP's
  • Develop an understanding of product knowledge to perform quality checks on parts
  • Learn how to knowledgably read prints/documents
  • Monitor and review the existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency
  • Maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company standard
  • Learn how to complete production and quality data sheets with accuracy

Qualifications for a Stair Packer/Kitter:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred
  • Will be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently
  • Lifting various products safely may require the assistance of other personnel or machinery
  • Ability to work at a steady and consistent pace

1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
