What will you be doing:

The Weekend Hospice Scheduler assists Hospice Clinical Managers and supports the clinical staff to improve communication and ensure quality patient care. Acts as the key link between clinicians and clinical managers. This position is Part-time, 19 hours per week, Fridays 2 p.m.-5 p.m., Sat. & Sun. 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Assures scheduling is done on a timely basis (daytime, evening, weekends and holidays).
  • Ensures appropriate assignment of new admissions and resumptions of care in consultation with managers.
  • Adjusts schedule to meet expected productivity.
  • Coordinates staff’s daily workload, assuring continuity of care.
  • Serves as a scheduling resource to team members, Intake Department and patients.
  • Schedules holiday and weekend rotation, vacation schedule and on-call beeper rotation with oversight of Clinical Managers.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • 2 years office or clerical related experience in a health care setting
  • Prior experience as a multi-disciplinary scheduler preferred
  • High School Diploma some college preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Congenial and positive attitude
  • Able to function cooperatively as a team member
  • Highly organized, flexible and dependable
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Availability for part time schedule
