WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide mobile crisis assessment, counseling, linkage, and other vital services to individuals experiencing mental health crises, including those with alcohol or drug abuse problems. Imagine the excitement of being on the front lines, working face-to-face with consumers, and offering immediate support and intervention during their most challenging moments.
Your mission will be to assist consumers in resolving their crises, ensuring they receive the help they need in the least restrictive environment possible. This exhilarating position requires you to respond promptly when dispatched or when clients come to our Walk-in Center. Your ability to efficiently complete evaluations and data entry will ensure that our high standards are met. Moreover, you will further contribute to their recovery journey by providing follow-up phone calls within 24 hours. WHAT'S NEEDED FROM YOU?
We're looking for someone who can work the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday from 2 pm - 10 pm or Thursday - Sunday from 2 pm - 12 am while meeting the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related area
- Knowledge of commitment procedures and community resources
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment
- Above average assessment skills, particularly for suicidal potential and potential to harm others
