About the Program and Position:

Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) is a research-informed, multi-tiered team approach to rebuilding family relationships. We work with children and teens (ages 0-21) who need high levels of support due to trauma they have experienced in their homes or communities. Each youth is carefully matched to foster parents, and a treatment plan specific to the needs of the youth is developed. Our foster parents are provided enhanced trauma-informed training and wraparound services to ensure the placement is secure until permanency is achieved. We serve youth and families by teaming with Local Department of Social Services officials, Office of Child and Family Services, Office of People With Developmental Disabilities, and community resource partners to provide bundled, strength-based, therapeutic interventions that change children's lives.

Cayuga Centers is seeking a Youth and Family Skills Coach to provide support and mentoring to Youth in our TFFC program. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Youth and Family Skills Coaches and in cooperation with all other CNY TFFC staff members and agency personnel, Assistant Director of CFTSS, your responsibilities will include meeting with youth one or more times a week to work on skill development, helping them succeed at school, in the foster home, community, in the permanency resource homes, and navigating life challenges.
