JOB DUTIES:
  • Client's Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group (AECG) has an opportunity for a Contract Technical Writer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • The candidate should be a dynamic, innovative individual who has demonstrated success in both project management and technical content creation.
  • The successful candidate for this position has a track record of strength and aptitude relevant to the following areas:
  • Create clear, effective, user-focused technical documentation for highly technical audiences.
  • Manage multiple projects through shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Effectively plan and track projects, and capably report project status and issues both up and down in the organization.
  • Demonstrate timely decision making and problem solving.
  • Understand and promote usability and product goals.
  • Adhere to established technical writing standards.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration and engagement among global subject matter experts, marketing, and technical support staff.
Qualifications Education Requirements
  • BA in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Five or more years of writing technical documentation, including supporting a major product, product suite, or technology.
  • Experience managing multiple projects using collaborative platforms (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
  • Proficiency with structured authoring/DITA is required; experience with IXIA CCMS is beneficial.
  • Experience with graphics applications, such as Microsoft Visio or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with functional safety and security documentation is a plus.
