Assembler/Production Control/Warehouse Team Member

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Job Duties

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic work instructions/Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Utilize handheld tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, electric impact guns or operate forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain inventory of workstations, delivering and presenting parts to line side operations, setting up and maintaining Parts Stores, loading and unloading equipment and parts from trucks, moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility, stacking goods in correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions, performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

-Work Pace/Standardized Work—consistent work pace on each operation; utilizes time well; performs job within required time as specified on process documentation; comfortable in performing operation. Always follows operation per documented instruction. Properly notifies supervisor, maintenance and other workers of a quality or process problem.

-Safety—works in a safe manner; wears all necessary personal protective equipment required for the operation.Participates in safety discussions.Awareness of unsafe conditions and takes appropriate actions.

-Quality Control—follows standardized work.Proactively controls quality in the process; performs a quality check during and after completion of process; accepts feedback of defects and participates in developing countermeasures. Notifies Team Leader or Group Leader of any abnormal situations.

-Kaizen/Problem Solving—Striving to continually improve operations and performance; seeking to eliminate waste on the job and reduce costs; developing new or improved products or methods of work; suggesting new techniques and processes; applying known procedures or technology in new areas.

-5S—Work site clean and orderly.Consistently improving the appearance of the team’s area. Active in following 5s—Sifting, Sorting, Spic and Span, Sustaining, and organization of workstations.

-Attendance—Always at work and on time.Proper call-in 30 minutes (or more) before start of shift.Minimizes lost time.Countermeasures absences to avoid future occurrences.

-Teamwork and Cooperation—Putting SANY’s success ahead of personal goals. Understanding teamwork concept; capable of identifying his/her role in the team and demonstrating appropriate behaviors depending on the role; sharing information and resources with others to help them in their jobs; encouraging others, through modelling, to be active contributors to the team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will:

-Must be customer service and quality driven

-Strong hands on aptitude with a good sense of balance along with good eye-hand coordination

-5+ years Forklift certification per OSHA standards for Production Control and/or Warehouse positions

-Ability to comprehend and execute work assignments with minimal follow up

-Is self-motivated with the ability to be crossed trained skills

-Strong organizational skills

-Observant, high attention to detail, and quality conscious

-Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea

-Ability to work independently as well in a team environment

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with listening skills.

-Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records

EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent with two or more years related experience and training.

PHYSCIAL DEMAND

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to qualified Team Members and Applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to work with and around oils, coolants, and cleaning solutions. Physical exertion may be required to transport up to 40 pounds, lift in excess of 40 pounds may be required with assistance. Work requires standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and working in small cramped areas. Walking averages greater than two (2) miles per day. Personal safety protective equipment is required.
