Job Summary
Mid-size law firm seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join our team. Our firm represents a divers clientele in a variety of fields. We practice both plaintiff and defense work in the areas of personal injury, property & casualty insurance, toxic torts, medical malpractice and estate planning. In this role, you will provide support to our team of attorneys and assist in all phases of a case. You will perform client intake, client communications, legal research, draft documents, file documents, and trial prep. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare case-specific documents, including discovery and briefs
  • Ensure that case-related documents are well organized both online and paper format and available for review
  • Conduct legal research and investigation
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Communicate with clients, experts, doctors' offices and witnesses
  • Maintain and update documentation
  • Assist with discovery requests
  • Update and maintain the calendar

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Paralegal
  • Certification or Associates Degree as a Paralegal is preferred
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with document management experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
