Are you an experienced Litigation Paralegal looking to advance your career? The Law Office of John Redmann in New Orleans is currently seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal cases for a highly esteemed law firm. As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include overseeing case files within our Litigation Department, liaising with clients and attorneys, conducting research, and preparing legal documents and correspondence. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding Junior Paralegals within the department.

Compensation:

$55,000 Annually

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support cases
  • Perform thorough records research for litigation matters
  • Identify and analyze relevant judicial decisions, legal articles, and codes
  • Organize and validate information accurately
  • Prepare detailed written reports for cases
  • Summarize and review various legal documents and proceedings
  • Manage cases efficiently and ensure timely progress
  • Communicate and meet with clients as needed
  • Draft a variety of legal documents such as briefs and agreements
  • Edit legal forms and documents for precision
  • Maintain organized databases and case files
  • Stay updated on new laws and regulations
  • Assist in case planning, development, and management
  • Prepare for and support during trials
  • Manage office tasks and deadlines effectively
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing litigation processes and preparing for trials
  • Attention to detail is a key requirement for this role
  • Effective multitasking, time management, and project prioritization skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a mandatory skill
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must
  • Previous experience in Personal Injury law is preferred
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish would be advantageous
  • Ability to provide training and guidance to Junior Paralegals is a plus
