As a Warehouse Associate you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service for our internal teams and external customers. The role encompasses shipping and receiving for small loads, inventory cycle counting, and pick/pack for shipping and for our Custom Solutions assembly jobs. The ideal candidate should have experience in these areas, along with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset. We have 2 positions open at this time.


This role is salary (not hourly) + bonus 4x per year starting after 90 days + overtime pay. Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm or Mon-Fri 7:30am to 4:30pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:


This position’s primary focus includes daily shipping and receiving duties, cycle counting, picking production orders, shipping logistics, facilities maintenance, and warehouse quality system activities assigned by the Warehouse Lead or Supply Chain Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization of all inventory and other items in the warehouse
  • Ensures all company warehouse procedures are followed (quality and accuracy).
  • Process incoming shipments utilizing business software to verify accuracy, identify proper storage locations, and proper placement once received.
  • Responsible for fulfilling special requirements identified by the customer service team and management for customer shipments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and daily cycle count; verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Manage stock location assignments by determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location.
  • Manage Ready To Pick process to ensure all sales orders, production orders, and transfers are filled on-time as prescribed by order parameters.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Ensure shipments are adequately packaged for delivery to final customer site, maintaining high standards in packaging.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of all LTL shipments as well as ensuring daily UPS/FedEx pickups and deliveries.
  • Pick production order components in advance of Custom Solution assembly schedule.
  • Manage branch-specific Open Deliveries.
  • Perform routine warehouse equipment maintenance.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Lead to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software.

  • Ability to operate forklift.



QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse/shipping & receiving experience preferred.
  • Must hold a valid Driver License for their State.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 5-100lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision; color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
