First New York Federal Credit Union is seeking a PC Technician.

The core responsibilities are to set up, install, repair and maintain PC workstations and peripherals. The candidate will also perform software installs, updates and patches. Homebase is 2 Wall Street, Colonie, NY. Will travel to branch locations on a varied schedule.


Candidate must have:

  • PC and printer repair and maintenance experience.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.

The PC Technician will provide first level response to trouble tickets and calls for First New York staff. Will assist in off-hour support and maintenance on occasion.

Requirements:

At least one of the following certifications (or industry equivalent):

  • CompTIA A+
  • Microsoft Technology Associate
  • Microsoft Fundamentals
  • Apple Professional

Applicants with ample desire and talent may have the opportunity to grow into other specialty areas, such as IT security and junior-level system or network admin roles. There are also opportunities to become proficient in:

  • Mobile device management
  • Inventory management
  • Asset monitoring
  • OS and software deployment
  • Audio/Visual systems

Below is a list of projects that a person in this role would participate in:

  • Phone system replacement
  • Windows OS migration
  • Security software rollout
  • Cloud product rollout

Other:

  • Able to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Reliable transportation to travel to other locations (mileage reimbursement)
  • Clean driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $19.00- $22.25/ hour
