About the Position

Join our team at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC) as the Rhythms Program Coordinator for The Terrace Memory Support neighborhood. This one-year pilot program offers a hands-on role in implementing our signature Rhythms Memory Support program, which focuses on purposeful engagement, environmental modifications, and team member education. As the coordinator, you will set the daily cadence for residents' lives, advocating for their needs through interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring a high quality of life for all levels of cognitive impairment. Please note, this position is part of a pilot program and could end after one year. The schedule for this role is Sunday through Thursday, from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Person-Centered Memory Support Program: Ensure the Rhythms program is engaging, creative, and meets the needs, interests, and abilities of individual residents.

  • Track Resident Engagement and Health: Collect and report metrics on daily activities, collaborating with the clinical team to address changes in residents’ health and behavior.

  • Provide Supplemental Engagement: Offer additional small-group and individual activities based on residents’ shared interests, supplementing the monthly activity calendar.

  • Collaborate and Educate Team Members: Work with direct care team members to ensure programming is engaging, manage recreational materials, and educate on resident stimulation activities.

  • Support Holistic Care: Participate in weekly rounds, service plan meetings, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver services aligned with residents' Individual Service Plans.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, recreation, or other relevant field OR 2 years of experience working with older adults with cognitive change.
  • Must be proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Outlook.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess ability to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, staff, family members and the public.
  • Must be a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or be willing to complete training required to apply for their CDP within 3 months of starting. (Training and application covered by GL if obtained after hiring).
