Position Summary

The Valet position is responsible for greeting guests as they arrive at the hotel as well as driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles and belongings while demonstrating 6PM Hospitality’s Core Values, 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC. and Hilton standards, as well as going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides a high quality first impression on guests arriving at the hotel by providing exemplary customer service.
  • Greet arriving guests warmly and professionally, and assist with any immediate needs they request
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms/villas and/or designated bell area.
  • Identify and explain room features to guests (e.g., use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, valet laundry services).
  • Deliver amenities, mail, gift bags, ice or special request items to guest rooms in a timely manner.
  • Effectively tag vehicle keys; drive, park and retrieve guests' cars without causing damage to the vehicle.
  • Assist guests with any questions about the local area, provide recommendations and suggestions
  • Maintain security of vehicles, belongings kept inside the vehicle, and vehicle keys.
  • Retrieve vehicles when guests are ready to leave
  • Report all vehicle incidents, damages, accidents, theft, missing articles etc.
  • As needed, monitor and direct personal and vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, and buses, to ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
  • Assist guests with securing taxi or rideshare services
  • Report incidents to next shift
  • Report any suspicious activity to Security and Valet Supervisor
  • Other duties, as assigned, by management

Position Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge:

  • Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform building repair/upkeep functions.
  • May require typing, record keeping, or word processing.
  • Requires good communication skills

License, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Excellent driving record required
  • Valid driver's license required

  • Physical Effort: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material or equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying heavy (over 30 pounds) materials for intermittent periods throughout the day
  • Physical Environment: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or temperature / weather extremes. Working surfaces may be un-level, slippery, or unstable
  • Work Schedule: Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, and/or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs
  • Occupational Risks: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve occupational risk, such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, injuries from falls, or back injury sustained with assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials
  • Ergonomics Risks: Significant portions (10 - 50%) of daily assignments involve ergonomic risk, such as regular repetitive tasks, forceful or prolonged exertions of the hands, vibration, cold temperatures, heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, or carrying of heavy objects, poor body mechanics, restrictive workstations, or awkward postures
  • Safety: Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures of 6PM Hospitality Partners LLC
  • Required Travel: Position does not require travel to other 6PM Hospitality Partners LLC properties or client locations. Work is completed on the property. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
