Job DescriptionJob Description

Seeking production helpers to assist machine operators in roll and secondary departments. Will load and unload parts, operate banding machines, grinders, air hoses and other equipment in the final preparation of parts before shipment.

Shifts Available: 1st: Monday to Friday, 6AM to 2:30PM

Weekend Days: Friday to Sunday, 6AM to 6:00PM, $3/hr. shift premium

Weekend Nights: Friday to Sunday, 6PM to 6:00AM, $4.50/hr. shift premium.

Starting Pay: $18.50

Summary: Under general supervision performs a variety of duties, which require a thorough knowledge of tasks, including operation of a variety of equipment/hand tools to process material as specified by work orders/work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below. Other duties as assigned.

  • Operates equipment or performs processes using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards, (i.e. Assembly, pack, drill, de-burr, saw, sort, rework, buff, load and unload)
  • Follows production procedures, including verbal instructions, written work instructions and procedures to specific work orders.
  • Packages and bands material as specified
  • Material handling duties as specified or assigned, including lifting and carrying product and raw material.
  • Learns and utilizes proper techniques to monitor quality of finished goods
  • Assists Operators as assigned
  • Uses safe working practices and performs work as efficiently as possible
  • Follows all established safety guidelines and OSHA requirements; wear required PPE
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by practicing good housekeeping practices
  • Participates in Lean Production program
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality
  • Complies with all quality and AS9100 standards
  • Works cooperatively with all department areas; Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Customer Service, Maintenance
  • Promotes a positive attitude to instill confidence in other Production employees

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing or similar work environment.
  • Ability to utilize basic computer navigation knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals and ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of using hand tools.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather condition and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
