Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.


This position has direct responsibility to ensure review of business practices affecting all financial aspects of Conexon Connect billing system and ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence with the company’s billing policies, processes, and controls. The candidate will directly manage a small team of billing and collections representatives and will be responsible for the team’s performance. The Financial Billing Manager will need to be capable of managing multiple tasks and projects to completion. Working across the various functional groups, this position will be tasked with delivering results in line with project deadlines.


This is a new position in a fast-growing company, you will be key in providing guidance and expertise to internal and client stakeholders on a wide variety of issues

Requirements:

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Work cross functionally to assist with defining best practices workflows.
  • Coordinate the billing and collection activities related to generating accurate customer invoices and adherence to workflows.
  • Have full comprehension of end-to-end billing process with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing team to support marketing efforts.
  • Perform month-over-month analysis, reporting, and identifying trends.
  • Validate the required adjustments.
  • Approve correction of billing errors through customer disputes
  • Work with Customer Support organization to ensure platform design supports goals.
  • Apply and monitor appropriate controls
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure optimal customer experience with billing changes.
  • Manage Return of Equipment process and report on metrics.
  • Work with the Finance team on reserves, accruals, payment applications, collection efforts, etc.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of process improvements.
  • Develop, document, and review systems requirement documents and perform QA testing as needed for systems supporting Billing.
  • Manage a small team of Billing and Collection agents. Set appropriate objectives, provide training and coaching, and review performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the objectives of this position

Preferred:

  • Five (5) years of Accounting and/or Telecommunications Billing experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly
  • Telecommunications experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and solve problems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions, some irregular hours may be required. Majority of time spent on the computer.
