The Opportunity

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering the Company’s payroll and benefits programs. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as internal policies. The Specialist also manages employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring proper enrollment, processing of claims, and communication with employees.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other relevant information.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including support of annual open enrollment, adding and removing employees and dependents from plans, and answering benefit questions.

• Assist employees and managers with understanding of policies and processes as it relates to payroll and benefits.

• Administer leave of absence programs as required.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment tax laws for multi-state company.

• Oversee retirement programs for various levels of employees.

• Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience administering payroll and benefits programs.

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or another related field is preferred.

• Experience in a fast-paced technology company is preferred.

• Understanding of relevant labor laws and regulations.

• Strong analytical skills & problem-solving skills.

• Strong organization, project management, and communication skills

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, and to interpret and explain complex information to offer factual and informative guidance and advice.

• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills along with experience using PowerPoint, Word, Teams meetings and webinars, and the ability to learn new software tools quickly.

Compensation

Base salary plus annual bonus and benefits.
