Cake Decorator

Specific Accountabilities:

• Identify daily production needs of authorized bakery products.
• Decorate a variety of stock production cakes to fill store orders.
• Decorate special order cakes per guest request.
• Follow up with guests or store associates to ensure guest specifications are met.
• Verify correctness of special order items.
• Wrap, package, label and merchandise product.
• Stage product for shipment to stores.
• Complete and track shipments by entering quantities shipped into computer system.
• Load and unload ovens, cool and de-pan product.
• Mix icing and ice cakes.
• Prepare and send special order confirmations to stores and follow up on discrepancies.
• Clean and sanitize department including equipment, work areas, service areas, containers and utensils.
• Follow safe food handling and personal hygiene practices.
• Follow safety practices.
• Record all waste to ensure accurate shrink information.
• Adhere to all Busch’s policies, practices and procedures.
• Build strong working relationships with guests, vendors and associates.
• Exemplify key concepts of hospitality when interacting with guests.

Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Current certification in food safety desired.
• Minimum 2 years of prior decorating experience.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills
• Proficient decorating skills, including using a pastry bag, following recipes, creating appealing product and determining product quality.
• Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.
