Key Responsibilities:- Assess daily production requirements for authorized bakery items.
- Adorn a variety of standard production cakes to fulfill store requests.
- Embellish custom order cakes according to customer specifications.
- Engage with customers or store personnel to ensure adherence to guest requirements.
- Confirm accuracy of custom order products.
- Package, label, and display products effectively.
- Prepare products for distribution to retail locations.
- Document and monitor shipments by inputting dispatched quantities into the computer system.
- Manage oven operations, including loading, unloading, cooling, and removing products.
- Blend icing and apply it to cakes.
- Generate and send special order confirmations to stores and address any discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department, including equipment, workspaces, service areas, containers, and utensils.
- Adhere to safe food handling and personal hygiene standards.
- Follow established safety protocols.
- Record all waste to ensure precise shrinkage data.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Demonstrate key hospitality principles when interacting with customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current food safety certification preferred.
- At least 2 years of previous decorating experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Expertise in decorating techniques, including using a pastry bag, following recipes, creating visually appealing products, and assessing product quality.
- Strong cleaning skills to meet sanitation and aesthetic standards.
