Overview

CornerBrooke is seeking an experienced Program Manager to assess and manage programs for a federal government agency with a focus on providing human resource (HR) activities and providing both HR and Background Investigation support services.  Additionally, the position will aid in supporting HCS leadership and Chief of Staff (COS) with strategic planning, front office operations and the Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018. 

 

Strong candidates with 7+ years of program management experience in the federal government who have led large teams are welcome to apply. HR background is strongly preferred but not required. The role is onsite in the Washington DC office with the opportunity for hybrid work after an initial onboarding period.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide a detailed PMP for the project team and receive COR approval prior to the implementation of the PMP
  • Develop detailed descriptions of the technical approach, management plan, organizational structure and resources, and management controls related to projects.
  • Update the PMP throughout the period of performance and provide recommended updates in the form of tracked changes in Microsoft Word
  • Provide status updates in the Monthly Progress Report and respond to requests from the government
  • Provide status updates on the planning, implementation, and completion of the HCS Operations Plan.
  • Lead key meetings including:
    • Kick-off Meeting
    • Quarterly COR Meetings
    • Project Management Plan (PMP)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in program/project management or a field of study related to the assigned project(s).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of management experience and demonstrated expertise in leading teams and managing projects of national scope, in the Federal Government arena.

Preferred Skills:

  • MA (Master’s in Art) and Master’s in Science (MS) degree in program/project management or a field of study related to the assigned project(s).
  • Program Manager certification
