  • Administer prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of licensure or certification and by approved protocols before transport.
  • Provide careful handling of the patient to and from the ambulance.
  • Provide safe and efficient transport of the patient in the ambulance to the medical facility.
  • Document and report all needed repairs for proper maintenance departments (electronic or mechanical) to direct supervisors and other ambulance personnel as required.
Emergency Care Attendant’s Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A current CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • A valid and current Driver’s License is required; must be able to drive large vehicles in normal and adverse conditions.
  • Upon completion of 10-day training, you can receive your Emergency Care Attendant certification
  • Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills are required.
